Jordan’s armed forces start modernisation plan under Royal orders
According to a JAF statement, the Royal directives outline a strategic roadmap to enhance combat and operational capabilities, creating a lean, flexible, and high-quality force able to operate effectively in diverse scenarios, including modern and non-traditional conflicts.
The plan emphasizes aligning the JAF’s structure with its operational missions, upgrading command, control, and communications systems, and improving integration among branches, formations, and units. It also highlights the expanded use of advanced technologies such as drones and cyber systems.
Additional measures include strengthening reserve forces, improving logistics and supply chains, and fostering national defence industries to boost self-reliance and operational efficiency.
